Introducing our new packaging – a refreshed look that honours our heritage in Glendalough and celebrates the crafting of our award-winning Single Grain Double Barrel Irish Whiskey.

Glendalough's Single Grain Double Barrel Irish Whiskey begins its maturation process in flame charred ex Bourbon American oak. It is finished in Oloroso casks from Montilla, a small town found in the rolling hills of the Spanish countryside.

We choose the bodega, the liquid, the casks and the cooper in this region of Spain to deliver a terroir driven sense of this land, encapsulated in the liquid when we put our whiskey in these slow toasted casks for aging.

These specially selected casks combined with expert liquid finishing, deliver a rich and complex flavour to our Double Barrel Irish Whiskey. 

This single grain Irish Whiskey won Gold at the 2024 New York International Spirits Competition.

Tasting Notes

The nose
Rich with dark fruit, cherry, raisin, fig and Christmas pudding. Floral notes with lemongrass, citrus and a touch of nutmeg.

The taste.
Sweet and smooth, with butterscotch, honey and peppercorn, dried fruit, maraschino cherries and brown sugar.

The finish.
Ginger spices a touch of almond and earthiness.

DOUBLE BARREL HOT TODDY

INGREDIENTS:

  • 50ML OF DOUBLE BARREL IRISH WHISKEY
  • 1 tablespoon of honey 
  • 1 cinnamon stick snapped in half 
  • 1 slice of lemon
  • 4-5 cloves

GARNISH: LEMON WHEEL & CINNAMON STICK


INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add 50 ml of Glendalough Double Barrel Whiskey to a heatproof glass. 
  2. Combine 1 tablespoon of honey together with 1 snapped cinnamon stick to the glass. 
  3. Pierce a lemon wheel with 4-5 cloves and add to the glass.
  4. Slowly add boiling water to the glass and stir down, ensuring that the honey has completely dissolved & that the snapped cinnamon stick is infusing with the hot water.
